Officials discussed environmental and regulatory considerations: single tanks up to 500 gallons on skids avoid additional spill-containment requirements, while 1,000-gallon tanks typically require more DEP oversight. Commissioners also favored fleet cards with PINs for individual vehicles to prevent nonfuel purchases and to deliver detailed usage reports for weekly monitoring.
Chair and staff said an account could be set up quickly once requirements are confirmed and recommended staff follow up with DEP and vendor details before final approval.
