He described the Marvin Ridge project as enhancements to a field house tied to CIP-funded construction and said Weddington’s request covers expansion of a weight room and associated auxiliary athletic space. "I’m glad to answer any questions you may have about that," Mr. Moore said during his presentation.
Committee members asked whether legal counsel had been consulted; Mr. Moore confirmed counsel was "onboard." After brief questions clarifying process and timing, the chair asked for a motion to send the item to the full board for approval. The committee approved the motion by voice vote, recorded as 4-0.
The requests will be considered by the full board at a future meeting. The facilities committee’s next meeting is scheduled for March 25 at 9 a.m. via Zoom.
