The City of Bellflower proclaimed March 2026 as National Women’s History Month and presented the proclamation to the Women’s Club of Bellflower at the March 9 council meeting.
Mayor Sunny R. Santinez read the proclamation recounting the historical and civic contributions of American women and formally presented the document to the Women’s Club, introduced by Jenna Enkorn. Enkorn gave a short history of the club, noting its participation in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), historic clubhouse locations and charitable activities including scholarship programs, holiday baskets and a prom-dress drive.
Council thanked the club for its decades of service and encouraged residents to attend meetings and consider joining; Enkorn provided the club’s contact points (women'sclubbellflower.org and social media) and meeting schedule.
