Sanitary Board approves contractor payments and hears sewer-project updates

The board approved Thrasher invoices for the Arlington Sewer Extension ($13,500), for MSA task order number 1 ($11,903.75) and for the Wolf Summit Sewer Extension ($35,169.40) after motions and seconds and voice votes in favor. The board also approved contractor pay application number 13 to Independent Enterprises Inc. for $338,697 and a Wolf Summit payment to ProContracting Inc. for $177,765.29.
The board approved an amendment to the owner engineering agreement that increases the environmental assessment line by $3,000 and reduces aerial photography and mapping by $3,000, a net budget-neutral reallocation intended to cover requested environmental work.
Agency official (Speaker 5) updated the board on remaining administrative items for the Summit Park acquisition and said city council will place an ordinance and related tariff before the council to convert billing units from cubic feet to gallons. "It's important for our ratepayers to know that nobody's rates are going up," the agency official said, characterizing the change as a one-for-one unit conversion handled by the utility's rate calculation.
Staff member (Speaker 4) announced that a segment of North Ohio Avenue — from the railroad crossing to the entrance — will close starting Monday next week for the Wilson Sewer Line extension; staff said work on Pike Street for the Wolf Summit project will be tested at the end of next week and crews are boring across the CSX right-of-way.
The Chair said the financial statement will be presented at the next meeting when Frank is available. A board member moved to adjourn; the Chair seconded and the board voted to adjourn.
