Resident alleges due-process lapses after middle-school removal during public comment

During the public-comment period on March 9 a resident addressed the Greensville County School Board about what she said were procedural failures after her child’s removal from Wyatt Middle School.
The resident said the child was removed from school on Oct. 24, 2025 "without a clear disciplinary classification, without noticeable appeal rights, and without consistent instruction." She said attendance records were marked unexcused while the student was directed to be home-based, and that instructional materials and internet access were delayed, leaving the student without consistent instruction for weeks. The resident said she received a written referral on Nov. 7 but did not receive full materials until December and that additional instructional packages were delayed into February and March.
The resident asked the board to clarify: the child’s official disciplinary classification; who made the decision to remove the child until August 2026; and which instructional plan and teacher were responsible for the student while home-based. She said she provided the board a timeline and documentation and asked for answers and a board review of the disciplinary decision.
Board chair Jesse acknowledged the speaker and enforced the public-comment time limit; the transcript contains no substantive board response or a commitment to a specific follow-up during the meeting.
