For the 6.19 funding stream the presenter said the division was awarded $10,141; $2,500 of that amount was described as earmarked for early childhood field trips and $7,641 for classroom materials and supplies for early childhood special education.
The presenter described the required components of the application, including the superintendent’s certification, statements of assurance, implementation reporting for the prior year, maintenance-of-effort eligibility, and coordinated early intervening services. The presenter told the board the full application will be submitted to the Virginia Department of Education after board review and is scheduled for approval at the next school board meeting in April.
