District says Verde project on track to start May 26 pending Riverside permit

A district administrator updated the board on the Verde project, saying the district has obtained a permit from West 40 and is awaiting a permit from the Village of Riverside. "Once we receive that, we will then go out and order all of the equipment," the administrator said, adding that a 40% payment will be required when equipment is purchased.
Staff estimated the project would likely appear on the March board meeting agenda for action related to funds and said the district remains on track to begin construction May 26. The administrator said project meetings will be weekly once construction starts and regular updates will come to the board at that time.
