Peter Glenn, partner at auditing firm Nigro & Nigro, told the Bonita Unified School District Board of Education that the district’s audited financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2025, “present fairly, in all material respects, the respective financial position” of the district. Glenn summarized the audit process, describing financial, compliance and internal-control testing and noting the report includes supplemental information and findings and recommendations.
The board voted to accept the audit after a brief discussion. A board member thanked Glenn for producing readable reports and said the district takes recommended modifications seriously. Glenn thanked district staff for their cooperation during what he described as an inherently invasive process.
The acceptance of the audit means the district will include the audited results in required state and federal filings and that any findings in the report will be addressed through staff follow-up and recommended corrective actions. No modified or adverse opinion was reported.
