Board approves consent agenda, including property relocation/irrigation item

The board moved and seconded approval of the full consent agenda at the Feb. 25 meeting and the chair called the question. The motion passed with vocal affirmative responses from the trustees present.

A trustee asked a question about consent item 7.3, a relocation/irrigation agreement tied to a property the district purchased. Staff explained that an existing irrigation agreement had moved water from the Sutherland Ditch across the parcel; because the district no longer needs that long irrigation run on the property, the district is vacating that portion of the agreement. Staff stated that if water is needed later, the district can tap directly into the Sutherland Ditch adjacent to the property.

The consent motion was made by a board member and seconded; the clerk called individual responses and each named member recorded an affirmative vote as read. The board then moved to the next agenda items and later adjourned.
