A public hearing on Zoning File 2524 for Dallas Scaup Associates was not opened at the Richardson City Planning Commission’s Jan. 20 meeting because of an error in the public-hearing notice. Staff and the presiding commissioner said the item is continued to a date certain, Feb. 3, 2026.
“There’s no action because we had an error in the public hearing notice,” the staff member said, adding that the applicant was not eligible to receive public testimony at tonight’s meeting. Because of the notice error, the hearing was not opened and no public comment or testimony was accepted.
The commission took no action on the zoning request this evening; staff instructed that the item will appear on the Feb. 3 agenda with a corrected notice so the hearing can be held then.
