At the June 17 meeting the Fremont Board of Education approved membership steps for the West Michigan Health Insurance Pool and appointed two board trustees to represent the district at the pool’s annual meeting.
Julie Reams, Director of Finance, told the board the district plans to switch to the West Michigan Health Insurance Pool and outlined benefits of participating in the pool. The board identified two representatives; Carrie Crosley volunteered to serve as the first trustee and Vice‑President Pete Slovinski agreed to serve as the second trustee. Motion No. 6978 formalized the appointment of the trustees and passed 5‑0.
Board members also noted the administrative requirement that the trustees attend the pool's annual meeting. The minutes record no dissent or conditions tied to the trustee appointments.
