Orangeville council ratifies new website contract, approves minutes and bills in unanimous votes

The Orangeville City Council on Oct. 9 ratified a new website contract and approved routine business items.
On a motion by Committee member Kevin with a second by Carrie, the council ratified a contract to develop and host a new city website at an initial cost of $6,600 and a $150 monthly fee. Staff said the move to a .gov domain, required for federal compliance, made the previous vendor incompatible and prompted the change.
Earlier in the meeting the council approved bills and warrants after a motion by Committee member Kevin and a second by Tracy. The council also approved the Sept. 11 public hearing minutes (motion by Tracy, second by Carrie) and the Sept. 11 regular session minutes (motion by Carrie), with no opposition recorded.
The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn brought by Tracy and seconded by Kirk. All final actions recorded in the meeting minutes passed without recorded opposition.
