The Lane County Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet 1500 pickup from J&R for $52,715.24 after Sheriff Ron Ridley reported a Tahoe was unavailable this year and presented the bid. Commissioner Logan Campbell moved to approve the J&R bid; Chairperson Kelle Bosley seconded and the motion carried.
The board approved claims as listed, with a meeting record that summarizes fund totals including General Fund $97,840.37, Noxious Weed $40.40, Health $3,326.47, Public Works $31,580.48, Ambulance $1,716.54 and a total of $145,845.86. Treasurer Amy Burgess also presented a Hospital Sales Tax distribution amounting to $23,276.08 and reported ongoing processing of fair invoices.
Other administrative actions approved during the meeting included Adds and Abatements, approval of Jan. 20, 2026 minutes and acceptance of annual township reports for Alamota, Dighton and Wilson townships. The board set its next meeting for Feb. 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
