Mechanicsburg Borough Council unanimously approved a consent agenda at its Nov. 18 regular meeting that included routine minutes, financial reports and several personnel appointments.
Councilwoman Agerton moved to approve the consent items and Councilwoman Martin seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The consent package appointed Jessie Novinger as the borough’s Right to Know Officer and Borough Secretary and named Zahara Resneck as Junior Councilperson. The council also approved performance awards and accepted a $100 application fee with Resolution 20‑2025 for a Local Share Account grant application related to a wastewater treatment plant ultraviolet‑light disinfection project.
Manager Jessie Novinger noted the Manager’s Report is current and available online. The resolution and grant application will allow staff to pursue Local Share Account funding for the ultraviolet disinfection project; the council did not specify further timeline or match requirements during the meeting.
The council had opened the meeting with a unanimous vote to adopt the agenda earlier in the session. The meeting adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
