Lower Blue Planning Commission elects Joe Newhart chair, drops service‑plan hearing after applicant withdrawal

James Donlon moved to approve the corrected minutes; Michael Good seconded and the minutes were approved as corrected (vote not specified in the record).
Planning Director Susan Lee asked the commission to delete Public Hearing item PLN24-041, the Service Plan for the Overlook at Summit Sky Ranch Metropolitan District, noting that the applicant withdrew that application on June 24, 2024. She also said an item listed as "Applicant Interviews for Vacancies and/or Expiring Terms" was on the agenda in error and had already occurred. James Donlon moved to approve the agenda with those deletions; Michael Good seconded and the motion passed 8-0.
The commission then nominated and elected officers for the coming term. Rajeev Malik moved to elect Joe Newhart as chair; James Donlon seconded and the motion passed 8-0. John Longhill moved to elect James Donlon as vice-chair; Rajeev Malik seconded and that motion also passed 8-0.
There were no consent items and, following the deletion of PLN24-041, no public hearings. Michael Good moved to adjourn; James Donlon seconded and the meeting adjourned at 5:37 p.m. The meeting record was signed/submitted by Suzanne Pugsley, Senior Planner.
No substantive land‑use decisions or permits were acted on at the meeting; the primary outcomes were the procedural approvals and the elections of chair and vice-chair.
