Alpena County panel approves sheriff's office budget adjustments, $4,000 training fund increase

The committee approved two budget adjustments for the Alpena County Sheriff's Office at its July 8 meeting.
Action Item #1 authorized a reallocation that decreases the Bailiff line item (101-301-704.001) by $862.50, increases the Marine Safety Officer line item (101-306-704.000) by $862.50 and increases Marine Maintenance (101-306-934.000) by $1,312.50. Commissioner Todd Britton moved the motion and Commissioner Lucille Bray supported it; roll call was unanimous in favor.
Action Item #2 approved an increase of $4,000 to expense line item 259-320-700.000 (CJ Training Fund). Commissioner William LaHaie moved the motion and Commissioner Brenda Foumier supported it; the roll-call vote was unanimous.
Both actions were recorded as committee recommendations and will be reflected in county budget records.
