Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith moved to reappoint Jonathan Miller to the Kittitas County Airport Advisory Committee for a three-year term effective immediately through Dec. 31, 2026; Commissioner Laura Osiadacz seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The reappointment completes a former member's unfinished term, according to the minutes.
The board reviewed and signed County Employee Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) and county vouchers; the minutes record the documents were approved and signed but do not list a mover or second for that approval. The board also reviewed the weekly correspondence log for the week ending Feb. 13, 2026.
Commissioners planned the county's Facebook posts for the week of Feb. 17, including a notice about an Easton meeting on flooding and emergency preparedness at 5 p.m. in the Easton School multipurpose room and a notice on the Solid Waste Office/services relocation timeline and upcoming changes. Clerk Julie Kjorsvik announced that Marc Eylar received CWAC Coach of the Year recognition, and Chairman Cory Wright provided an update on Cle Elum Ridge obstacles the board is addressing.
The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. and adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
