HELENA, Ala. — Representative Leigh Hulsey provided a brief update in the work session, saying she and Senator Weaver plan to file the Civil Service Act bill the following day in both the House and Senate and asked for support to expedite its passage.
Hulsey said the sponsors are working to move the bill quickly and expressed hope the legislation could be passed by the end of the next week if both chambers cooperate. The update was given in the council's pre‑council work session and noted again in the regular meeting agenda.
