Board of Equalization approves motor-vehicle tax exemptions and tax-list corrections

The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners recessed and convened as the Board of Equalization on Sept. 9 to consider motor-vehicle tax-exemption renewals and tax-list corrections. County Treasurer Brenda Rohrich presented the applications and County Assessor Roy Meusch was present for assessment items.
The BOE approved an exemption renewal for Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society of St Lukes covering a 2006 Ford F150, a 2010 Ford Cutaway Van E450 and a 2014 Dodge Caravan (motion by Bill Maendele; second Daniel Lynch). The BOE approved a renewal for Good Samaritan Hospital covering a 2017 Chevy Express G4500 (motion by Myron Kouba; second Ronald Loeffelholz); Board member Bill Maendele recorded an abstention on that item. The BOE also approved an exemption renewal for Hope Evangelical Free Church covering three passenger vehicles (motion by Ronald Loeffelholz; second Myron Kouba).
The Board approved Tax List Corrections numbered 5112'114 as submitted by Assessor Roy Meusch. All BOE actions were carried by roll-call vote as recorded in the meeting minutes.
