Fulton County approves Pressley Ridge child-welfare contract, hears opioid-reduction briefing

Fulton County commissioners voted Feb. 24 to approve a Purchase of Service Agreement with Pressley Ridge for child welfare services, effective Feb. 11, 2026 through June 30, 2026.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve the agreement; the motion passed unanimously. Human Services Director Julie Dovey, Franklin/Fulton Family Partnership HRSA Project Director Beth Bryant and Franklin/Fulton Drug & Alcohol Recovery Specialist Joe Bailey briefed commissioners on possible opioid-reduction initiatives and partnership strategies; no formal action was recorded on the briefing.
During the same meeting, the board approved a March 2026 invoice of $10,198.00 from Elect IT Solutions for IT staffing and support services and approved a third installment CCAP PComp contribution of $5,575.00 toward a total contribution of $22,300.00. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve a letter of recommendation supporting MainStreet McConnellsburg’s application for a T-Mobile Community Grant to modernize downtown street lighting; the board approved the letter.
John Schriever of Sideling Hill Financial provided a portfolio review of two Krivak Trust accounts and reported approximately $161,000 in gains since he began managing the accounts. The presentation was informational and no board action was required.
Commissioners approved submission of a report of county fee-for-local-use funds to PennDOT as presented by Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives. The meeting record shows each of these service and contract items passed by unanimous vote of the present commissioners.
