Town Manager Miranda Fisher on May 7 presented a process to distribute $50,000 budgeted Community Outreach Funds to local nonprofits. Staff proposed inviting all qualifying nonprofits to apply online and dividing available funds equally among eligible applicants; Council directed staff to add application questions about other funding sources, the number of Camp Verde individuals/households served, and a budget for how funds would be used. Several Council members said applicants should be available to attend meetings for follow‑up questions.
Separately, Town staff asked Council to approve a prioritized slate of ten Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) projects — covering water, wastewater, public safety and public works priorities — for submission. Council approved Resolution 2025‑1178 endorsing the CDS priorities after a brief discussion about project ranking.
Council asked staff to refine the nonprofit application and to move forward with CDS submissions as prioritized. No dollar amounts for individual CDS projects appear in the minutes; staff indicated the CDS applications had been submitted the prior week.
