Camp Verde council recommends approval of liquor licenses for Alkemista Coffee & Tea and Alkemista Brew locations
Summary
Following staff summaries and uncontested public hearings, the Town Council voted 6–0 to recommend Series 6 and Series 7 liquor license applications for Alkemista Coffee & Tea and four Alkemista Brew units at 284 N. Homestead Parkway to the state regulator.
The Camp Verde Town Council on May 7 voted unanimously to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control approve multiple liquor license applications for businesses at 284 N. Homestead Parkway. Town Clerk Leah Rhodes summarized each application and the required materials; applicant Sergiu Goma was present for the Coffee & Tea application.
The Council opened and closed public hearings for each license application with no members of the public speaking. The Council recommended approval for:
• Alkemista Coffee & Tea — Series 7 (Beer & Wine Bar) for Unit 2; and
• Alkemista Brew — Series 6 (Bar) for Unit 1 and Series 7 (Beer & Wine Bar) for Units 2–4.
All recommendations were forwarded to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control; the Council’s action is advisory to the state agency. Each motion passed on a 6–0 roll call vote.
No council discussion or conditions were recorded in the minutes for these items. The state licensing authority will complete its review and issue final determinations.
