During the Nov. 3 meeting the Greer County Board of Commissioners approved multiple routine administrative items including purchase orders and reimbursement of claims, monthly officers’ reports, tax allocations and appropriations.
Vice‑Chairman Mark Barnes moved and Member Steven Fite seconded approval of purchase orders and claims that were listed on the agenda; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes list multiple vendors and line items presented for payment across departments (highway, health, extension, fair, general government and sheriff). The board also approved County Clerk, Health Department, Court Clerk, Treasurer and Election Board reports, and approved a payroll reimbursement claim for the Greer County Election Board Secretary.
The commissioners approved allocation of alcoholic beverage tax and motor vehicle tax as presented and approved appropriations. They voted to request the county Excise Board to appropriate funds. The minutes note no action was taken on Roads & Bridges and state there was no new business. The board recessed the meeting at 10:08 a.m.
