Mayor Dee Jenkins called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and presided over a session that included the swearing‑in of elected officials, several unanimous votes and an orientation by town staff.
The meeting opened with Councilor Jackie Baker raising a Point of Order about the meeting start time, saying she was “confused as to why this Regular Session was set to begin at 5:30 p.m. instead of 6:00 p.m. as stated in the Town Ordinance and Resolution.” Town Attorney Trish Stuhan replied that the Mayor and Town Manager have the authority to adjust meeting times when necessary.
