The resolution noted the road is in a low-density area, has no pending development expected to change traffic significantly, and is included in the Board’s six-year plan for secondary road improvements.
The Board requested that the VDOT Residency Administrator concur with the designation and that any hard surfacing or improvements to the road be done within existing right-of-way and ditch-lines to preserve adjacent trees, vegetation, side slopes and the rural character of the corridor to the fullest extent prudent. A certified copy of the resolution will be forwarded to the Virginia Department of Transportation for concurrence.
