Fulton County commissioners approve $335,634 in payables, accept retirement and approve hires and trust payment

McConnellsburg, Pa. — The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on March 3 approved routine financial and personnel actions, accepted the retirement of the county’s Domestic Relations director and authorized a trust payment for a social-services applicant.
Commissioners Randy H. Bunch, Steven L. Wible and Hervey P. Hann voted unanimously to approve accounts payable totaling $335,634.88 across county funds, including $291,026.05 from the General Fund, and to approve payroll of $132,711.81 dated March 6, 2026. The board also approved a travel request for Chief Probation Officer Dan Miller to attend the Annual CJAB Conference April 20–22, 2026.
The board accepted the retirement letter of Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress, who has served Fulton County for 25 years; the effective retirement date is July 11, 2026. Commissioners thanked Gress for her years of service and noted her prior work at the Fulton County Newspaper and as a realtor, and her service on the Fulton County Medical Center board.
HR Administrator Mary Huston presented a candidate for the Prothonotary’s Office. The board voted to hire Laurel Griest as Office Deputy I, effective March 4, 2026, and convened a brief salary board to set her pay.
Other administrative approvals included a $3,647 lease from Doing Better Business for a printer for MDJ Heming’s office and a $3,844.25 Plan Asset Invoice from Conrad Siegel to be paid from plan assets. The commissioners also authorized a CDBG Delegation of Signing Authority so designated staff may execute invoices submitted to SEDA Cog, and approved the February 2026 Pension Fund report.
The board approved a burial expense application for veteran Gary Allen Myers, who served in the Air Force during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and approved a Krivak Trust application for an applicant (applicant details confidential under HIPAA) up to a maximum of $35,000. Commissioners held two short executive sessions for personnel matters during the meeting and heard an update on Phase II renovations for the newly purchased building on Lincoln Way West from Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville. The meeting adjourned at 1:03 p.m.
