The Bay Minette City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 1066 on Feb. 2, 2026, rescinding Ordinances 985, 1047 and 1063 and establishing the city’s procedures for the election and appointment of city officers. Mayor Joshua O. Brown requested a motion to approve the ordinance; Councilmember Tyrone Thompson moved for adoption and Councilmember Matt Franklin seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
Council members did not record additional discussion in the minutes beyond the formal motion and second. The ordinance was considered on second reading and was approved as presented.
