Highland Lake council adopts three committee ordinances; Malek votes no on two

Carl Randall moved to approve Ordinance HL-2026-O-01 (Road Committee); Bobby Rhodes seconded. Roll call recorded Rhodes, Randall, Anne Rilling and Mayor Gail Bailey voting yes and Council Member Ramzi Malek voting no. The ordinance passed.
Randall then moved to approve Ordinance HL-2026-O-02 (Lake Preservation Committee); Rhodes seconded. The vote mirrored the earlier tally: Rhodes, Randall, Rilling and Mayor Bailey voted yes and Malek voted no, and the ordinance passed.
The council also approved Ordinance HL-2026-O-03 (Public Safety Committee) on a motion by Randall and a second from Rhodes. All present voted yes on that measure.
