ALDOT clears Satsuma sidewalks project; lighting relocation with Alabama Power planned

Mayor Mark Barlow told the council on Dec. 16 that the city's sidewalks project has been released by the Alabama Department of Transportation and will move forward after the new year. Civil Southeast will work with Alabama Power to relocate lighting needed for the project.
Barlow also said road work on the I-65 Service Road is expected to begin shortly after the first of the year. No construction dates, contract amounts, or timelines beyond "after the first of the year" were provided at the meeting.
