FULTON COUNTY — Fulton County held a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project kickoff via Zoom on Nov. 25 to begin planning work on the Warfordsburg Senior Center and noted that a separate property sale received no bids.
County officials held the CDBG kickoff with SEDA‑Cog Program Analyst Hanorah Lucas, Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville, and Connie Brode, executive director for Huntingdon/Bedford/Fulton Area on Aging. The group discussed the senior center project scope and next steps for CDBG‑funded work; the board recorded the meeting and noted that project management will proceed with SEDA‑Cog involvement.
Separately, the board held a public bid opening for the sale of 119 North Second Street in McConnellsburg, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. No bids were presented, and the commissioners took no sale action at the meeting.
Also noted in county business were the conservation district director reappointments for Gene Mellott and Mark Knepper and the board’s approval of a request from the Fulton County Association of Township Officials to plant a commemorative tree on the courthouse lawn for the America250PA celebration. Separate minutes were filed for the Safety Committee and Election Board meetings.
