FULTON COUNTY
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a State Interconnectivity Grant totaling $230,699.51 to pay for maintenance and upgrades tied to the county—11 system. EMA/911 Director Brian Barton presented the grant; HR Administrator Mary Huston attended the discussion.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute the grant. The funds were designated for SouthCentral Mountain CAD maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain CHE maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain ESInet maintenance, Fulton NG911 GIS maintenance, a SouthCentral Mountain battery upgrade, and Fulton ILEC maintenance projects. The motion passed unanimously.
During the same meeting, the board approved hiring Troy Wagaman as a Per Diem 911 Dispatcher, effective pending required clearances. A brief Salary Board meeting at 9:48 a.m. set the salary for the newly hired per‑diem dispatcher.
The board entered executive session for personnel matters and later reconvened before adjourning. The grant approval and hiring complete the board ctions recorded related to public safety and 911 operations at the Dec. 30 meeting.
