Commissioners approve BFJRA charter amendments, appoint Craig Cutchall

Representatives from the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority (BFJRA) —Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod —met with the Fulton County Board of Commissioners seeking two charter amendments and an appointment. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute Resolution 9 of 2025 to amend the BFJRA articles of incorporation to increase the number of board members; the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Wible also moved to approve Resolution 10 of 2025 to authorize the BFJRA to appoint police officers who would have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to authority property; commissioners approved that resolution as well. Following the resolutions, Commissioner Wible moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term expiring January 3, 2027; the appointment was approved by the board.
The BFJRA representatives were present for the requests. The record shows the board approved both amendments and the appointment by unanimous vote.
