Nelson County Commissioners on Oct. 17 approved procedures and minimum prices for the county's 2023 foreclosure sale.
During a public hearing, the board voted unanimously to adopt the 2023 Terms of Sale and the Tax Oath that will govern the foreclosure sale. Commissioner Mike Haugland moved to adopt the sale terms and Commissioner Aaron Mork seconded; roll-call votes were recorded as "Yes" by all five commissioners.
The board also set minimum sale prices for several 2020 delinquent tax-foreclosed parcels. The approved minimums included: Parcel 15-0001-23821-000 at $13,379.38; 15-0001-23082-000 at $4,201.51; 20-0000-06052-000 at $75.22; 27-0001-67834-000 at $3,140.48; 27-0001-67856-000 at $7,076.98; 27-0001-67926-000 at $5,912.06; and 31-0000-09013-000 at $752.49. The board kept previously foreclosed properties at the minimum sale prices previously established.
The measures were approved on roll-call votes with all members voting "Yes." County officials did not present additional policy changes to the Terms of Sale at the meeting. The public hearing was closed following the votes.
