Henderson City Council approved the consent agenda April 11, adopting several routine administrative and procedural items.
Key consent actions included a state-required assurance resolution related to Hazen and Sawyer’s NCDEQ funding application; adoption of an America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) Risk and Resiliency Emergency Response Plan (to be updated every five years and housed at Kerr Lake Regional Water for security reasons); and a contract with Municode to recodify the City Code with a not-to-exceed cost of $20,000 to account for potential overages.
The council also approved the FY22-23 budget review calendar and special budget work session schedule, dispositions of multiple jointly owned City-County properties (proceeds to be shared pro rata with Vance County), and tax releases/refunds and discovery amounts totaling $11,926.25 for February 2022. Council Member D. Michael Rainey moved approval; Council Member Sara M. Coffey seconded and the motion passed unanimously among members present.
The AWIA plan is not publicly distributed for security reasons; staff indicated further details on ordinance recodification and property dispositions are in the referenced resolution and ordinance books.
