On Oct. 2 the Camp Verde council approved, as part of the consent agenda, staff authority to use up to $50,000 in grant reimbursements from the Northern Arizona Good Jobs Network grant (through Local First Arizona) as unrestricted funds to support workforce development, business development and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) expenses. Council also approved the related FY25 budget adjustment labeled BAFY25-02.
Vice Mayor Marie Moore requested that the Sept. 11 special-session minutes be pulled for separate consideration; after that change the council approved the remainder of the consent agenda by roll call (6-0; Jackie Baker absent). Economic Development Director Molly Davies was listed as the staff resource for the grant item.
The motion gives staff discretion to allocate the reimbursed grant funds for the listed purposes; if staff seeks further programmatic direction or significant additional spending it will return to council for action.
