Fulton County commissioners approve $205,405 in payments and multiple contracts; approve grant recommendation and recycling event

Fulton County commissioners on Feb. 24 approved routine financial measures, vendor invoices and several administrative items, including a $205,405.27 accounts payable batch and multiple contracts and recommendations.
The meeting, held at the commissioners’ office in McConnellsburg, opened with approval of the Feb. 17 minutes. The board then approved accounts payable totaling $205,405.27, with the General Fund representing $118,593.19 and other funds covering Liquid Fuels, evidence-based-practice grants, CDBG, Act 13 Marcellus Shale recreational funds, medical assistance transportation, and debt service.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve a March invoice from Elect IT Solutions for IT staffing and support for $10,198.00 and to execute a CCAP PComp third-installment contribution of $5,575.00 (part of a $22,300 total contribution). Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve an invoice from Huntingdon County for the remainder of an NTIA project contribution, $270,000.00 (after $90,000 previously paid). All motions were recorded as unanimous.
The board approved a Purchase of Service Agreement with Pressley Ridge for child welfare services (effective Feb. 11–June 30, 2026) and authorized submission of the 2026 Compensation Plan for Services for Children Director Christine McQuade to the state for wage compensation. The board also approved a 'Report of County Fee for Local Use Funds' to be submitted to PennDOT, as presented by Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives, and a Letter of Recommendation supporting MainStreet McConnellsburg’s application for a T‑Mobile Community Grant to modernize downtown street lighting.
Elections Director and Recycling Coordinator Linda Doyle presented a flyer for two electronics-and-appliance recycling days to be held March 18 (noon–5 p.m.) and March 21 (9 a.m.–1 p.m.) at 610 East North Street in McConnellsburg; the commissioners approved the event and flyer. The meeting adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
