The Buchanan County Board of Supervisors approved on March 2 the removal of 15 dying or partially hollow walnut trees at the county farm pasture.
Brislawn Logging submitted photographs and offered $6,000 to remove the additional trees. After the board reviewed the submitted pictures, Supervisor John Kurtz moved and Supervisor Keith Wieland seconded a motion to approve the removal for $6,000; the motion carried.
The board did not schedule additional discussion on the county farm at this meeting.
