The Nelson County Commission on June 4 voted to sign a Federal Aid Contract for project SC-3200(051, a chip-seal project for county roads). Commissioner Cameron Swenson moved to sign the contract and Commissioner Steve Forde seconded; a roll-call vote recorded all members voting "Yes."
Highway Superintendent Curt Loe was present for Road & Bridge business and participated in related discussion. The contract was placed on the amended agenda earlier in the meeting and then approved during business.
Commissioners also discussed holding a county employee picnic at Stump Lake Park on Thursday, July 18, as part of non-binding planning of departmental events; no formal action on the picnic was recorded.
