Board approves recurring warrants, records other routine business
Summary

At the Jan. 24, 2022 meeting the King and Queen County Board of Supervisors approved the January recurring warrants subject to audit. The motion to approve the warrants was made by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Bailey, and passed with all members voting in favor (Morris, Simpkins, Burns, Alsop, Bailey).
Board members raised several routine items: Sherrin Alsop said she will attend VACo Legislative Day; Mr. Burns requested and received an update that county staff have begun hooking up customers to the fiber project; Mr. Swartzwelder provided handouts from the Historical Society regarding a monument at the Circuit Court; and staff relayed that a commissioner had reported preliminary personal property value changes for used vehicles (JD Power information suggesting possible changes of as much as 40 percent), with more information to follow.
Mr. Burns moved and Ms. Alsop seconded a motion to adjourn, which carried. The meeting minutes were signed by Chairman Doris H. Morris.
