County staff told the King and Queen County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 22 that a request for proposals for a Clerk of the Works drew a strong response and that the position would oversee multiple planned capital projects.
Mr. Swartzwelder, a county staff member, said he would like the Board to appoint a member to the selection committee to help rank and interview potential firms. Board member Mr. Burns volunteered to serve on the committee.
The board did not finalize a firm at the meeting. No interview schedule or evaluation criteria were recorded in the meeting minutes; staff indicated they would proceed with the selection process and return recommendations to the Board when available.
