The Boone County Board, meeting March 10, convened a joint Drainage District meeting with Webster County and approved routine drainage business, including accepting a Drainage Repair Request and appointing Central Iowa Drainage as contractor. The joint session approved the agenda and adjourned after the appointments.
County Auditor Diane R. Patrick then presented the canvass of the Ogden Special Election. The transcript records four absentee ballots (two for Haynie, one for Dennis Good and one for Bollenbaugh) and election-day totals reported as 112 votes for Good, 67 for Haynie, 37 for Bollenbaugh and three write-ins. Diane Patrick stated Dennis Good was declared the winner with 113 votes. The board approved the canvass by unanimous vote.
The joint drainage actions and the canvass were routine items recorded in the minutes; the joint drainage board appointed Central Iowa Drainage to perform the specified repairs and the Auditor certified the election result.
