Hudson County adopts three local ordinances on parking and traffic calming

At its April 24 meeting the Board approved three ordinances on second reading: two reserved parking spaces (Jersey City and Hoboken) and traffic calming/delineators on Passaic Avenue in East Newark. All three passed on recorded roll calls.
At its April 24, 2025 meeting, the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners adopted three ordinances on second reading after public hearings and no public speakers.
The adopted measures were:
• A restricted parking space on John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City designated for Rose M. Davis (administrative code amendment).
• A restricted parking space on Willow Avenue in the City of Hoboken designated for Reina M. Ramirez.
• An amendment to County administrative code to authorize traffic calming devices (delineators) on Passaic Avenue in the Borough of East Newark.
Each ordinance was introduced April 10, 2025, advertised as required by law, publicly noticed, subjected to a public hearing with no speakers, and adopted by unanimous recorded vote. The clerk recorded aye votes from all commissioners present on each final adoption.
