Fulton County commissioners approve payables, personnel actions, appointments and routine contracts

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 16 approved payables totaling $281,921.91, finalized several personnel actions and approved routine contracts and appointments during a meeting at the Commissioners' Office.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting minutes and the Dec. 9 Retirement Board minutes; both motions passed unanimously. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025 totaling $281,921.91. The minutes provide a fund-level breakdown: General Fund $214,588.09; SFC Technology Grant $330.26; SFC Evidence Based Practice $142.50; 911 $20,705.31; Domestic Relations $50.54; and Opioid Settlement Funds $46,105.21.
Commissioners met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress. The board approved a motion by Commissioner Hann to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Dec. 8, 2025, and approved advertising for an "Enforcement Officer 1" position to be posted both internally and externally.
The board also retroactively approved a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48, and approved and executed a Sheriff's Department request for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to appoint Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term ending Dec. 31, 2027; that motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board for two-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2027. The board also approved the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates for public advertisement in the Fulton County Newspaper.
The minutes record two brief executive sessions for personnel matters (9:36'9:38 a.m. and 10:52'11:30 a.m.) and note that a DCED Financial Monitoring Interview listed for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled by DCED, which requested to meet with SEDA COG and the chief clerk instead. Commissioner Bunch moved to adjourn at 11:45 a.m.; the motion was approved unanimously.
