Summary
The court approved Terralogic contracts to digitize deed and oil-and-gas records, authorized tourism marketing contracts with Herman Global and Texas Parks and Wildlife ad placements, and accepted a donated Type 1 ambulance from Glasscock County (storage and registration to follow).
County Clerk Sarah Lujan presented two contracts with Terralogic: one to index typed deed records with weekly uploads to the County Clerk’s Office (projected to take up to a year and paid from the County Clerk Records Management and Preservation line) and one to digitize Oil & Gas records to be paid with LATCF funds. Both proposals were approved by the court by recorded motions.
Robert Alvarez, Executive Director of Visit Big Bend, provided a tourism update. The court approved a Herman Global contract for digital content on the Visit USA Parks website and social channels and approved 1/2-page and 1/4-page ad placements in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Annual State Park Guide.
Judge Henington also presented a donated Type 1 ambulance from Glasscock County (donation price $1). The court accepted the ambulance and directed that it be stored until registered and deployed for use in Marathon.
The court also declared several office items as salvage and approved sending them to online auction with disposal if unsold after 10 days. Motions on the digitization, marketing and donation items passed unanimously.
