The Clanton City Council met Jan. 12, 2026, at Clanton City Hall and unanimously approved five resolutions covering neighborhood development, a community donation, governance appointments and a new youth advisory body.
The council adopted Resolution 2026-01-12-01 to accept a donation of LED lighting and mounting brackets from the Chilton County High School Gridiron Club. Councilmember Don Driver moved the resolution and Councilmember Phillip Giles seconded; the measure passed by unanimous voice vote of the council members present.
The council next adopted Resolution 2026-01-12-02, approving an agreement with Municipal Consultants, Inc. for engineering and design services for the New Harmony subdivision development project.
