Hudson County commissioners honor Kelly Carroll as 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year

The resolution also cites Carroll's work on literacy initiatives and certifications, including Wilson Dyslexia Therapist levels I and II and reading-specialist training.
Commissioners offered personal remarks about Carroll and about her late grandfather, former County Freeholder Neal Carroll Sr. "Your grandfather was a true historian of Hudson County," Chairman Anthony Romano said. Carroll, who accepted the resolution, thanked the Board and said the award was especially meaningful because of her family's history of public service.
What happened next: The Board requested a photo opportunity and recorded unanimous support for the commendation. County leaders said the recognition will be entered into the record and Carroll will be listed among county honorees.
