Hudson County approves three Ryan White HIV grant awards totaling $1,708,396

The Hudson County Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 27 approved three grant-funded awards under the Ryan White HIV program totaling $1,708,396.
County Administrator Abraham Antun described the three items before the Board as annual, grant-funded awards to local medical and service providers. He said: "The first item is awarding $787,530 to various providers under the Ryan White HIV program," and described the two additional items as "awarding $841,600" for Ending the HIV Epidemic work and "$79,266" for the Minority AIDS Initiative.
Those resolutions were taken and approved on the consent agenda. The Clerk recorded unanimous 'yes' votes from Commissioners Aponte-Lipski, Baselice, Cedeño, Cifelli, Kopacz, O'Dea, Rodriguez, Walker and Chairman Romano. The items were recorded as resolutions 24, 25 and 26 on the meeting agenda and will proceed according to standard grant-administration procedures.
What happened next: County staff will issue awards to the named providers under the terms of the applicable grant agreements and monitor performance and allowable expenditures in line with Ryan White and grant-office rules.
