Echols County commissioners approve agenda, adopt monthly workshops and approve brick repairs; several items tabled

At its Feb. 5 meeting the Echols County Board approved the agenda and minutes, adopted a monthly workshop schedule, approved brick repairs at the courthouse, and tabled the courthouse awning change order and payroll bridge week pending rebids or more information.
The Echols County Board of Commissioners conducted routine business Feb. 5, approving the meeting agenda and the minutes of its Jan. 8 meeting. Commissioner Kenneth Petty moved to adopt monthly workshop meetings to take place on the third Thursday of each month; the motion carried unanimously.
The board approved a change order for repairs to six brick locations on courthouse buildings. A proposed change order to construct an awning at the courthouse was tabled so the project can be rebid, and approval of a payroll bridge week was tabled pending additional information. The minutes record that an executive session was not required and the board adjourned at 7:23 PM.
Motions and seconders are recorded in the minutes for each item; the minutes do not include detailed funding sources for the brick repairs or rebid schedule for the awning work.
