Fulton County commissioners approve leases, contracts and purchases; table child-services contract

Fulton County commissioners on Feb. 17 approved a series of routine and project-related items, held two executive sessions, and adjourned at 11:22 a.m.
The board approved a McConnell Park lease submitted by the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for the Strawberry Festival to be held June 11–13, 2026. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved the lease approval; the motion passed with all commissioners voting in favor.
The commissioners approved a contract with CES Engineering, LLC for engineering services at the Warfordsburg Senior Center CDBG project, capped at $15,000. Commissioner Hann made the motion and it passed unanimously. Separately, the board retroactively authorized Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives to sign a CDBG Exempt Status Determination and Mitigation Measures and Conditions Form.
Financial items approved included payroll dated Feb. 20, 2026 for $126,643.71 and accounts payable dated Feb. 17, 2026 for $115,002.69 (fund breakdown listed in the minutes). Commissioners also approved an invoice from Wessel & Company for CFO services in January 2026 for $4,340.00.
A procurement request from Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress to purchase office furniture from W.B. Mason for $6,467.15, to be funded by the Title IV-D Incentive Account, was approved. A proposed contract with Pressley Ridge for services for children was tabled so commissioners could gather more information before acting.
The board entered executive session twice—first at 8:33 a.m. for personnel matters, exiting at 8:59 a.m., and again at 9:22 a.m. for legal matters, exiting at 10:21 a.m.—with motions to enter and exit recorded as unanimous. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to adjourn at 11:22 a.m.; the motion was adopted and the meeting ended.
