Commissioners hire Laurel Griest and approve several administrative contracts and delegations

On a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch, the board hired Laurel Griest as an Office Deputy I in the Prothonotary's Office, effective March 4, 2026. HR Administrator Mary Huston and Franklin/Fulton County Court Administrator Rebekah Reigner participated in the hiring discussion (Reigner via Zoom). A Salary Board convened at 10:41 a.m. to set the new hire’s salary; separate minutes were recorded.
The board also authorized a CDBG 'Delegation of Signing Authority' form delegating execution of invoices from SEDA Cog to HR Administrator Mary Huston, Commissioner Steven L. Wible and Commissioner Randy H. Bunch; the motion was approved unanimously on a motion by Commissioner Hann. Commissioners approved a DBB printer lease for MDJ Heming's office with a total contract price of $3,647.00 and approved a 'Plan Asset Invoice' from Conrad Siegel in the amount of $3,844.25 to be paid from plan assets.
HR Administrator Mary Huston presented the February 2026 Pension Fund Report; Commissioner Wible moved to approve and execute the report and the motion passed. County Auditors met with commissioners for an audit review as recorded in the minutes. Several executive sessions for personnel matters were convened during the meeting and recorded with start and end times in the minutes.
